Neil Murray charges out of defense

The Wild Geese bounced back from last weeks dismal display with a valient three all draw in Dublin tonight. The return of Andy Fleming and Brian Clarke caused torment for a Northside team which also had to face a much more resilient Geese defence.

Andy Fleming opened the scoring for the Geese - he strided into the penalty area and slip the football past the oncoming Northsider keeper. But his opponents scored two without reply and were crusing until Brian Clarke scored a tremendous freekick with the final movement of the first half. Dadie returned an equaliser to a Northsider second-half goal, and most sides had chances to win it at the end.
