Mitchell 1 : 0 Wild Geese
Geese defend well against Mitchell
It's a five-game streak without winning a game for the Geese, and this was one that should have been otherwise. The Geese had four clear-cut chances, and lost by an own goal. Their defence mostly neutralised the Mitchell attack, they created many chances, but unfortunately the Mitchell keeper was in outstanding form - to the Geese attack he began to seem unbeatable.
The Geese won a lot of possession but also squadered much of it. Every decent move ended in a chance, but perhaps the were not enough decent moves. Just when it seemed like the Geese had to score a mishit voley went in off Oliver Tormey for an own goal. It was a cruel defelection that Nagle had no chance to stop.
Anto Saul frustrated by Geese failure to peg a goal
The Geese attacked and attacked but just could not put away their chances and in the end they had to settle for another loss and another weak performance
