The physical fitness regimen at the Wild Geese camp means the team is prepared for extreme physical challenges. Such high level of fitness comes from sacrifice and the direction of a highly motivated Coach - in this case Lenny McCarthy.

McCarthy, will compete in the 2009 Triathlone in Athlone on Saturday.
He has been in intense training for this type of event.........

PERUGIA, Italy — Andrew Harrison is keeping his Wild Geese team's Triathalon rivals guessing by refusing to officially endorse Dublin ace Fergus Fahey as their definitive team leader. Question marks hang over the relationship between the two. Fahey has openly questioned Harrison's unorthodox training methods, but Harrison has been slow to acknowledge the recent successes of his team mate.

Some day Dave McMahon will get the credit he deserves. Perhaps it will be when he is gone from the North Siders. He controlled swirl of the North Siders' attacking on Thursday night and McMahon's primary role in assembling both the personnel involved and instilling in them a philosophy that embraces risk and beauty with the overlooked genius of common-sense defending.

The Geese never recovered from three early goals. Paul Kavanagh could do nothing to stop their penetrating play. "We can say that this night was our night," said a satisfied McMahon.

There was no lack of effort from the Geese........
