DNA 1 Wild Geese 5

Two goals for Boyle

For the first time in their young history the Wild Geese are not at the bottom of a league table. There was no ambiguity either about the domination of this Geese side over a weak DNA outfit. Joye opened the scoring straight away, with a superb fifth minute goal. Even then it was clear that the Geese would enjoy themselves. The lead was doubled in the 18th minute by Stephen Boyle who scored by volleying back across the goalkeeper.

And though the game seemed over there was no relenting.........

DPL 2 Wild Geese 3

Geese defence on alert

This cracking pre-season friendly suggests that the Geese will be less likely to crumple as they did last year.

While they celebrated their first victory of the season (albeit a friendly), it was noticible that a 2-1 lead did not turn into a reverse - as it often did the previous season. When DPL finally found their attacking gusto, the Geese defence........
