Dodgy Architects steal Geese goal

Anthony Saul scored a goal which was apparently never a goal. In a year of controversial sports events, the Wild Geese suffered, joining the Irish soccer team, Frank Lampard, and Louth as the victims of unjust goal-related decisions.

Not only did the Wild Geese lose, they lost to a bunch of Architects who could not cope with the concept of the 'line' or 'area square'. So how is it possible that Derek Tynan Architects could be deceived by the white-line of a football field. Here are some suggestions:

1. In the true fashion of subtle architects, DTA were re-interpreting the classic form of the football field - the rectangle has been replaced with the parallelogram. Yes, there may be some practical issues (practice your corner kicks) , but do not try arguing with DTA.

2. DTA actually believed the line was crooked. They have spent too long in the office and are now clinically dependent on t-squares. So if you are due to play DTA, make sure you have a surveyor on your team.

3. The DTA keeper and the 'one defender' (read game report for the second confession) have evil powers and used them to make their captain and the rest of the team see the line move. Yes evil players, with a bizarre sense of humour. (Advice to DTA - Perhaps your team has been infiltrated by planners).

4. DTA softly lied about the lineball (in order to prevent an attack), then vehemently lied to the Geese about the lineball (in order to prevent a goal), then told a different lie to league officials (in order to present themselves as honest). Sorry, this idea is a bit too far fetched - no one would believe that could happen.....
